Hi friends - hope all good :)
Really pleased to announce that next in the quiet details series is my first interpretation of the idea as fields we found - in your hands
This would have happened earlier if I’d not been ill last year, but the music would never have been the same without experiences I went through - it’s a strange life sometimes and we need to take the positives and make the most of where we find ourselves.
Out next Wednesday 2nd April, digital and CD editions. As always the physical edition comes with the unique long-form version of the album and bespoke six panel digi-pack, with separate artwork and glass-mastered CD.
Listening party Thursday 3rd April at 19:00 UK time.

There’s a lot behind it but the most important thing is the music - I spent a lot of time listening to slowly evolving durational pieces over the last twelve months, and allowing time and space to stretch out endlessly was a huge influence on this album and the music I make now.
The tonal and harmonic interactions are central to this - the use of just intonation then throwing off all traditional tuning methods to choose frequencies intuitively allowed me to find the macro and micro sonic details between layers of analogue oscillations.
The other fundamental aspect is field recordings from family and friends, taken all over the world. These were people who helped and supported me through the illness, this album is dedicated to them and my incredible medical team, the recordings make them all a part of the music.
All proceeds from the album will be donated to the Cancer Centre - Milton Keynes University Hospital - they do incredible work and I wouldn't be here without them.
Made on a modular synthesiser and various semi-modular instruments, performed and recorded live to 1/4” tape.
So looking forward to sharing this with you x

For now, check out some of my other recent music, the resolve / relate series is a direct descendant of this album (see below for the latest, out today), a new piece being made every month and the first followed the final track of in your hands which was completed in December 2024.
Also, out last week, is the first of my rhythm structures series, a musical counterpoint to the resolve / relate deep-listening pieces - so pleased with how this had been received - thank you!
So very happy to share with you the latest in my monthly series of long-form deep-listening pieces, resolve / relate 03.
Listening Party today Thurs 27 March 19:00 UK - free to join, all welcome x

Continuing the evolution, the latest piece focuses on textural and harmonic interactions between many layers of analogue oscillations, created on modular synthesisers including an ARP 2600m and curated system focused on Serge-inspired modules and patch-programmable techniques.
All individual elements are tuned intuitively by ear to establish complex tonal and rhythmic interplay, and extensive cross-modulation is used to create deep new frequency relationships.
As always, there is also the stasis dub version - a reinterpretation of the same sound sources, focusing more on spatial and other manipulation.
This version is available to everyone for a few days, then becomes a Bandcamp subscriber exclusive - this is part of building a sustainable artist model while giving everyone the chance to access the music. Neither will be on streaming platforms to reinforce the importance of buying music if we want artists to keep doing what they do.
The pieces are performed and recorded directly from the equipment to 1/4” tape, using a range of live audio processing, to capture the direct and hands-on human/machine experience that is a fundamental part of the music.
Community of like-minded souls is essential to all of us, I hope this music connects with you in some way, thank you for listening.
Subscribe to get everything I make here, including the resolve / relate and rhythm structures series - from horizontal to vertical, hopefully something there for you x
