Hey friends - hope all good :)
Very happy to say that joining the series this week is a producer I’ve been listening to for nearly two decades, the mercurial and much-loved Brendon Moeller.
Out Wednesday 2nd October, digital and CD editions. As always the physical edition comes with the unique long-form version of the album and bespoke six panel digi-pack, with separate artwork and glass-mastered CD. Listening party Thursday 3rd Oct at 19:00 UK time.
Anyone with even a passing interest in the deeper end of house and techno, especially the dub-influenced spectrum, will know Brendon’s work - highly prolific under his own name, and as Beat Pharmacy, Echologist and others. Releases on scene-leading labels and collaborations with the likes of The Spaceape, TM404, Paul St Hilaire, Coppa, Ras B and many more show the level of respect he has, with all the talent in the world to back it up.
Mirage is nothing less than a masterpiece - anchored by seismic bass-weight meditation, sonic fragments and vibrations move endlessly around the boundless universes Brendon builds within each track.
Inspired by the generations of dub and electronic music pioneers and innovators - he continues the lineage with the utmost skill and respect, creating something that is entirely his own and essential for fans of hypnotic music in all its forms.
So looking forward to sharing this one with you all - for now check out a couple of Brendon’s previous albums - was very hard to pick two from his incredible back catalogue, I choose these two to show the breadth of his output, although this is barely just scratching the surface.
The first is on the excellent Constellation Tatsu:
The second on the equally great Samurai Music:

Also coming is the second edition of qd18 Whettman Chelmets - a stunning example of the places the quiet details idea can go with a producer of such vision.
